DRONE ON!
Summerside, a new band featuring Joachim Toelke of Southpacific on guitar and Brad and Nathan of Hollowphonic on bass and drums respectively, is playing the Horseshoe on Tuesday, Dec. 19 as part of the Nu Music Nite. Hollowphonic meanwhile are busy at Pharmasound working on their new disc which should be out early in the new year.

NEW HAMILTON VENUE!
December sees the launch of a relatively new venue called raven, which will bring a fresh booking concept to the Hamilton area. Booker Brodie Schwediman hopes to bring in an eclectic mix of independent artists from not only the semi-local area, but also from south of the border and beyond. NEW FFM DISC!
Folk Festival Massacre - the stormin' post-punk quartet made up of ex-Neck bassist Alastair MacLeod on guitar, Mean Red Spiders' Greg Chambers on guitar and Christiana's Dave Rodgers and Paul Boddum on bass and drums - release a new EP on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at the El Mocambo, with guests Mason Hornet and Currently In These United States.

CURRENTLY ACTION!
Speaking of which, C.I.T.U.S. reports that their second and third albums (recorded in 2000) will be available in the new year on cassette and CD respectively. A fourth album is in the works and should be finished by Christmastime, followed by a full-band rock'n'roll effort to be recorded not long thereafter. For more info, write to nuss@zombieworld.com.

Beef Terminal celebrates the release of the 20 GOTO 10 CD on Noise Factory - a lovely collection of homespun electronic soundscapes recorded by Mike Matheson - with a free party on Friday, Dec. 15 at Area 51 (at King and Portland).
